Court Last Second Shot Play
"Home Run"
For use with 3 seconds or less. (#4) is best passer, (#5) is best jumper, (#1), (#2), (#3) are team's best shooters. (#1), (#2), and (#3) take two steps towards (#4) as soon as the official hands (#4) the ball. (#4) throws the ball to the rim for (35), (#5) jumps up and catches the pass. (#5) may draw the foul, take the shot, or tip pass the ball to (#1), (#2) or (#3) in the spot areas for a 3-pointer.
This play is effective for the 3-pointer because many defenders will sink in to where the pass is being made (to #5), leaving the perimeter players open for the 3-point shot.
